Nkana finally win, Zesco lights shut Sunset Stadium

Nkana’s eight games winless run came to an end this afternoon after defeating Lumwana Radiants 2-1 in Kitwe.

Harrison Chisala opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Josephat Kasusu equalized for the visiting side and it was Nkana who had the final say when Bob Chansa restored their lead in the 83rd minutes to seal victory for the 13 time champions.

The win pushes Nkana to 11 points and moved two steps upwards on the log standings but they remain in the relegation zone.

Zesco fails to cash out at Zanaco

In Lusaka at Sunset stadium it was the clash of the giants when Zanaco hosted Zesco United.

The Bankers came out tops as a second minute goal from John Sikaumbwe was all they needed to record their second victory in a row.

Forest Rangers Remain Unbeaten At home

Forest Rangers on the other hand remained unbeaten at home this season when they condemned visiting Nkwazi 1-0 a result which takes them third on the table.

The Ndola based side scored through Moyela Libamba in the 33rd minute to ensure that they walked away with three points.

Masauso defeats old time friend Perry Mutapa

At Edwin Imboela stadium a goal in each half for Green Buffaloes saw them beat Napsa stars 2-0.

Folon Sitonya opened the scoring in the 31st minute from the spot after Golden Mashata was brought down in the box before the solders doubled the lead in the 72nd minute when John Kosamu got the assurance goal for the Masutso Tembo coached side which takes them to fourth position on the table.

Power Dynamos Powerful Again

Power Dynamos bounced back to winning ways with a 2-4 victory over Chambishi.

Francis Kasaka and Eddie Sinyangwe were on target for the host while Kennedy Musonda, got himself a brace for Dynamos.

Tranqulin Mwepu and Brian Mwila scored for the Kitwe based side as they second on the table with 22 points level with league leaders Red Arrows who will be in action tomorrow against Prison Leopards.

Elsewhere, in Chingola, Nchanga Rangers needed a late goal in the 83rd minute from Miguel Pedro to beat Green Eagles by 1-0.
