Following a dismal run of results in their last three games, Boyd Mulwanda, the first assistant coach for Nchanga Rangers, is confident his team will soon return to winning ways.
After playing to a 1-1 draw with Mutondo Stars on Sunday, Nchanga recorded their eighth draw of the season.
Rangers have lost back-to-back games and have been inconsistent in their last three fixtures, losing eight times, winning five, and drawing eight to be ranked 16th with 23 points.
Mulwanda believes the team is not bad; they just need to start utilizing the chances being created.
“We were under pressure because we have not won in our previous three matches. A draw at home is not a bad result; I think we are going to pick up from this game,” he said.
The former Kansanshi Dynamos boss praised the team for the good fight displayed against Mutondo stars.
“I think the boys put up a good fight; we need to congratulate them for the fight they put up. We controlled the game until we allowed that goal and that goal put us under pressure because in the last three games, we haven’t won a game. We expected to win the game but we messed up; we couldn’t use our chances in the game,” added Mulwanda.
Rangers will meet Zesco United in their Week 21 fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday.
