NAPSA Stars wrapped up their 2024-25 MTN Super League campaign with a goalless draw against Mutondo Stars on Saturday.
Despite dominating the game, the Pensioners failed to convert their chances, to the disapproval of head coach Sipho Mumbi.
“A game that we have created so many multiple chances we could have buried the game in the first half, same like second half,” Mumbi said.
The result confirmed NAPSA Stars’ survival in the topflight after a season that saw them flirt with relegation.
Reflecting on the season finale and the campaign as a whole, Mumbi admitted there were important lessons to take away.
“Going forward it’s something we have taken note I know the league has ended today but it’s something that we have learnt from this season lacking to finish our chances.“
Mumbi is already looking ahead, promising a more improved performance when the new season kicks off.
“Going forward we have to go back, and plan learn from our mistakes and do better next season.“
