Lumwana Radiants head coach Bilton Musonda, has attributed his team’s demotion to lower division to his players lack of experience.
Radiants beat Nkwazi 2-0 in the Grand finale of the Zambian Super league at the Edwin Imboela Stadium on Saturday.
Despite having won their last game, Lumwana Radiants had already packed their bags headed to National Division One league.
In a post match interview, Musonda attributed the demotion to a slow start to the season aside his players lacking experience.
“I think it has been a Season which we can only say we did not start the season well which has costed us not to survive because we lost so many games in the first round due to maybe I would say phobia from the players because they came from lower division so they were giving respect to the other clubs,”he said.
“I think second round we faired well despite going down we collected more points in the second round than first round, so that has been the downfall our team,“said Musonda.
“Coming to the last game of this season I think we spoke to the boys to say we cannot have lost everything, let’s fight for this game so that we go with a bit of dignity into Division One so that we know where we can start from,” concluded the coach.
