Former Kabwe Warriors defender Fredrick Mwimanzi is expected to join Zanaco from Green Buffaloes.
Mwimanzi returned to the Buffaloes this season after receiving military training. The Green Buffaloes defender will join Zanaco on a one-and-a-half-year contract.
He has been outstanding for the Buffaloes since his return, earning him a call-up to the CHAN squad.
The former Kabwe Warriors defender is scheduled to rejoin his coach, Numba Mumamba, who just left Kabwe Warriors to join Zanaco.
Sources close to Mwimanzi confirmed his move to Zanaco in an exclusive interview with Bolanews, claiming that he is only awaiting final contract details.
“He is joining Zanaco on a one-and-a-half-year deal. Just waiting for the final touches that can be easily be done next week,” said the source.
“He is no longer training with the Buffaloes; he is just waiting for the transfer move to be concluded.”
Zanaco is in 17th place with 20 points and is desperate to avoid relegation. On Saturday, the bankers will face off against Green Buffaloes in their bid to avoid relegation.
Numba’s boys defeated Athletico Lusaka 2-0 last weekend and will look to keep up their winning streak.
