With 30 points, the Kitwe-based team is now in 17th place after a dismal season.

Mutondo have only won seven, drawn nine and lost thirteen games in 29 matches played.

The Kitwe outfits kick started their Super league journey impressively having kept their top eight position consistently.

However, mathematically if Mutondo Stars need to stand a chance of surviving relegation they will need to win all their remaining five matches which will seem them move to 37 points depending on the outcome of other results.

According to a source (Ronald Mukosha) will be presented on Saturday.

Mukosha is former first assistant coach at Green Eagles, he left the Choma based side in 2024.

“The team has not been doing very well and with only five games remaining we hope the new coach will help the team survive relegation,”the source said.

Mutondo Stars’ next Super League game is against Kabwe Warriors next Wednesday.
