Nkwazi FC head coach Oswald Mutapa is thrilled by his team’s performance and remains optimistic that the players will fight till the end.
The Zambia Police side beat FC Muza FC 2-1 in a midweek fixture played at Imboela Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Joseph Banda and Emmanuel Chabula scored the two goals for Nkwazi, while MUZA’s goal came via an own goal by Henry Besa.
The victory ended Muza’s unbeaten run in the current campaign.
Nkwazi head coach Oswald Mutapa was thrilled by his team’s consistency so far in the season.
“At least we have shown consistency. The last time we won two games, we went six games without winning,” he said. “We are happy that we have played three and won three.”
Mutapa added, “We have another game in the next three days, which we need to prepare for. I know it’s a drain for the players, especially physically… But I feel we have enough players, but it was important to show consistency, he concluded.

Nkwazi moved into fifth place with 19 points from 11 matches played so far.
Nkwazi will face Forest Rangers on Saturday as they aim into the top four in the standings.
