Power Dynamos may be enjoying a five-point lead at the summit, but coach Osward Mutapa has called for humility and hard work from his team as they prepare to face FC MUZA on Thursday.

MUZA, buoyed by a 2-1 win over Red Arrows, are looking to continue their giant-killing exploits at Arthur Davies Stadium when they take on the defending champions.

The reverse fixture in Mazabuka ended scoreless, suggesting that Power Dynamos will not have an easy outing.

If anything, the teams are evenly matched in their last five meetings, with each side claiming two wins and one match ending in a stalemate.

Mutapa has warned his players to be wary of the MUZA threat.

“Another tough game, the young boys always run and want to prove something. It will not be an easy game, we need to show championship character,” Mutapa said.

He emphasized the importance of converting chances.

“So far in the past four games we have shown that we are a team that can score so many goals, so the chances we create we bury them then I think it will take us somewhere,” Mutapa said.

Mutapa also stressed the need for his side to maintain their form and remain humble.

Power have been potent in front of the goal in their last five games, scoring 12 goals.

“We should show humility; we are not there by ourselves. Yes, we have done the hard work, but also the grace and favour of God has been with us. Five points difference means we continue working hard,” Mutapa said.

Power currently leads the pack with 48 points, five ahead of Arrows, who could narrow the gap to two points should they beat Napsa Stars in a Lusaka derby on Wednesday. Two points should they beat Napsa Stars in a Lusaka derby on Wednesday.
