Kabwe Warriors Football Club has finally convinced Clement Mundia to stay with the club after his contract expired.

Mundia’s contract expired in June 2024, and he was expected to leave the Kabwe-based side for another team.

Newly promoted Super League club Nchanga Rangers expressed interest in Mundia, but sources close to the player have revealed to BolaNews that the club’s executive committee refused to release him.

Mundia moved to Kabwe Warriors on loan from Napsa Stars on February 9, 2018.

He captained the team, which finished fifth in the Super League with 52 points in 2023/24.

Mundia also led the team to their first ABSA Cup final last season and was crucial in securing continental football for the club during the 2021/22 season, when they were eliminated in the first round of the competition in the Caf Confederations Cup.

He remains a member of the Kabwe Warriors squad and has resumed training with the team.

Kabwe Warriors will face Mufulira Wanderers in their next match as they look to maintain their winning streak.
