Legendary Zambian Football Club Mufulira wanderers earned a promotion back to the MTN/FAZ Super League after spending three years in the National League.
The club’s head coach Harrison Tembo has expressed confidence that they will be able to maintain their Super League status.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with bolanews, Tembo also added that his focus now is coming up with a good side that will be able to compete in the elite League
“We picked up numerous lessons in the National League and we now have to sit down and plan with my colleagues. So that we can make a better team than the one we had in the National League, that will be able to compete in the Super League,” he said
Tembo aiming to re-enforce squad
Tembo further added that very soon they will be able to unveil their new signings but also mentioned that it will also be important for the team to hold on to their key players
“We have to plan, and we have look at which departments require reinforcements and soon will be unveiling the new signings to the public but for now obviously I can’t give you the names, and we also have to hold on to the key players, because if we let go of them, we will start struggling again so we have to keep all our good players,” he said

He further called on all stakeholders to come on board and ensure that the team maintains its Super League status,
“The National League was tough, it looked like teams always had a point to prove whenever they played Mufulira wanderers, we have to sit down with the stakeholders so that we maintain the team in the Super League because planning is the best, we have to plan together and we will achieve together,” he explained
Mufulira Wanderers are the most successful club in Zambia having won 49 trophies and produced some of the country’s greatest players.
