Red Arrows FC came from behind to register a 2-1 away victory at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe over defending Champions, Power Dynamos in rescheduled MTN Super League Week 1 fixtures played on Saturday.
At a packed to capacity, Arthur Davies Stadium, Power Dynamos took an early lead before Red Arrows mounted a strong comeback to claim all three points and move up to second on the League table.
Jackson Mulambia opened the scoring in the 14th minute. However, the game shifted dramatically in the second half after Power Dynamos captain Aaron Katebe was sent off in the 50th minute, leaving the hosts to play with ten men for over 40 minutes.
Despite that setback, Mbewe insists the red card was not the deciding factor in his team’s win.
“No red card is part of the game if you saw the way we controlled the game…most of the players for Power Dynamos are coming from injury, and you could see they looked tired in the last 30 minutes of the game,” said Mbewe.
Arrows responded immediately after the break, showing resilience and attacking intent.
“We reminded players at the break that when we go in the second half, we need to look for an equalizer. After we look for an equalizer, we have to look for the winning goal,” Mbewe told reporters.

Albert Kangwanda leveled the score in the 52nd minute, before Brian Chilimina sealed the comeback victory with a decisive strike in the 84th minute.

The result pushed Red Arrows into second place on the log, maintaining their unbeaten start to the 2025–26 campaign as one of only two teams, alongside Zanaco FC, yet to suffer defeat this season.
Looking ahead, Mbewe is focusing on each game that comes and not the next opposition.
“It’s not about the opponents; it’s about us. What we are doing is we are not concentrating on other teams; we just need to continue working extra hard,” he said.
