After six months with the Mufulira Wanderers football club, Lucky Sikanyika has left the team.

Sikanyika originally signed a six-month contract with the Legendary Club during the January transfer window after leaving Mutondo Stars.

Sikanyika did not, however, play in a single match for the Mufulira-based team after joining Mufulira Wanderers.

After a mutual separation from the Club, the former Mutondo star is now a free agent.

Sikanyika wished the team luck in the upcoming season and expressed optimism that they will return to playing competitive football, according to a statement released by the club.

“I wish this journey would have been longer, but that’s football, proud to have been part of the most decorated Club, it’s huge and big. Hopefully this Club returns to glory days soon. There’s no forever in football. If another opportunity to represent this Club arises, I will be there,” part of the statement read.

According to information obtained by Bolanews, Sikanyika may make a move shortly since he has shown interest in a number of super league clubs.
