The 31-year-old former Singinda United FC striker who is on loan to Prison Leopards from Red Arrows FC is enjoying top form in the Zambian Super League and has so far scored 5 goals in his first 9 appearances for the Correct Boys who are still unbeaten this season and sitting third on the table with 17 points.
Mudia told Bolanews in an exclusive interview that he has set goals for this season and one of them is to help his team participate in this season’s ABSA tournament.
“For me scoring is a call of hard work, I will continue working extra hard and being consistent,” he said.
“For now, I will keep scoring goals and working extra hard because I know hard work pays off.”
On the posibility of playing for the Zambia national team, the former Buildcon striker said, it would be an honour to don the national colours.
“Playing for the National team for me would be a plus but I am focused on helping my team in the league but if I am called, it will be a plus,” he said.
After suffering a broken toe that kept him away from the pitch for 7 months Mundia who was loaned to Nakambala Leopards in 2018 by Red Arrows has found his scoring boots.
He left Nakambala after the club was disbanded in 2019 and moved to City of Lusaka FC with a mission to regain his form.
After a stint at City in the National division one League, Mundia joined Buildcon FC last season where he scored 10 goals in the Super League to earn him a move to Prison Leopards at the start of this season.
His combination with Landu Miete and David Obashi at Leopards is proving to be a hard nut to crack for defenders in the Zambian Super as they have scored a combined total number of 12 goals this season.
Mudia and his team have been a marvel to watch with many fans now tipping him to replicate his recent form when they travel to Ndola for their week 10 Super League fixture next weekend against Forest Rangers after a disappointing 0-0 draw with Nkana FC’s last Sunday.
