Konkola Blades frustrate Power Dynamos league title defense

In the last eight league matches, Bestone Chambeshi, a former Nkana football team coach has guided Blades to three league wins, five draws.

In a week 20 match played at Arthur Davies Stadium on Friday afternoon, Konkola Blades held the 2022–23 Champions to a 1–all tie, which dealt a blow to Power Dynamos’ title defense.

Zesco United, having participated in 19 games during the 2023–24 Zambian Super League season, is top of the standings with 36 points.

Bestone Chambeshi has led the Blades into eighth place on the log with 25 points after going undefeated in eight Super League games since taking over at Konkola.

In the last eight league matches, Chambeshi, a former Nkana football team coach has guided Blades to three wins, five draws.

Erick Ettiene scored for Konkola Blades in the third minute of the first half at Arthur Davies Stadium, quieting the home crowd and delighting the visiting supporters. In the 37th minute, Godfrey Ngwenya brought Aba Yellow back to parity.

Power Dynamos, with 33 points, are now in third place after the draw. Konkola Blades, with 25 points, are now in eighth place, ahead of Forest Rangers, with 24 points.
