This season’s edition of the Kitwe Derby is shaping up to be nothing short of electric, as league leaders Power Dynamos lock horns with fierce rivals Nkana at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola today.

Power Dynamos come into the clash sitting comfortably at the top of the MTN Super League with 63 points — six clear of second-placed Zesco United. A win over Nkana, paired with a Zesco stumble against Lumwana Radiants on Monday, could see them crowned champions with two games to spare.

But don’t expect Nkana to just show up and play along. They’re in the thick of the battle for continental football and have every reason to believe they can pull off a result. After all, they’ve won the last two derby meetings — including a 2-1 victory earlier this season.

Since 2011, these two sides have gone head-to-head 32 times, with Power holding the slight edge: 16 wins to Nkana’s 10, and six draws in between. In total, 70 goals have been scored — Power with 42, Nkana with 28.

Current form? Power Dynamos are on fire — they’ve won 12 straight across all competitions, including six in a row in the league. Nkana, though, are no slouches either, picking up four wins and two draws in their last six league matches.

But if the Kitwe Derby has taught us anything over the years, it’s this: form goes out the window. When these two sides meet, it’s not about stats, tactics, or the table — it’s about heart, history, and who wants it more when that first whistle blows.

BETTING TIP: Try Home or away team wins & total number of goals scored in the match will be 2 or more.

NOTE: Odds are subject to change. 18+
