Leading MTN Super League top scorer Titus Chansa has vowed that his side, Power Dynamos, must win today’s Kitwe derby against fierce rivals Nkana at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Chansa, who is currently leading the Golden Boot race with 12 goals—scored for both Mutondo Stars, where he began the season, and now Power Dynamos—told BolaNews in an exclusive interview that he is thrilled to feature in his first Kitwe derby.

“I am excited to play in the derby because it’s my first time,” he said.

“No matter what, we need the three points and I also want to win the Golden Boot so playing in the derby is huge and we must win,” Chansa added.

Chansa is determined to claim the Golden Boot, but hot on his heels is Nkana striker Idriss Mbombo, who has netted 11 goals so far. Still, Chansa remains confident that no one will overtake him.

“It will be good for me to win the Golden Boot. I want to win it and the team is backing me to win. I think I will,” he confidently said.

Chansa will also be the designated penalty taker for Power Dynamos in today’s derby, as the team continues to support his Golden Boot ambitions.

The highly anticipated match kicks off at 15:00.
