With a 2-1 victory over Green Buffaloes at Lumwana grounds yesterday, Kansanshi Dynamos made progress to avoid relegation to national division football next season.

Marvin Jere scored for mabanga boys in the 11th minute before Fellon Sitonya equalized for title chasers, Buffaloes. However, with 15 minutes before relegation time, Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba clinched the winner for Kansanshi.

The Mabanga boys are now placed 11th on the league table with 42 points.

And Kansanshi Dynamos coach, Boyd Mulwanda has praised the character of his players.

“We were under pressure, you know where we are on the league table, it wasn’t okay but the way the boys came out it was good for us, because they showed character to win the game and it paid off for us.” he said.

In the meantime, Mulwanda has predicted a tough encounter this coming weekend when they face fellow relegation strugglers Chambishi FC.

“It will be a tough game for us, especially that they lost to Zesco United, so I don’t think they want to lose again at home,” he said.

Mulwanda added the technical bench, and the players just need to prepare and be ready for the game away.

The mabanga boys are now six points off the drop zone and a win from their last three matches will be enough to the Solwezi based side maintain their super League status.

Kansanshi Dynamos will face Chambishi over this coming weekend in a week 32 encounter.
