The Zambian Super League side Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club have reached an agreement with Kamuzu Barracks to loan their striker, Zeliat Nkhoma.
Sources have told BolaNews that Nkhoma will be travelling to Zambia this week, where he will sign a two-year loan contract.
The Flames striker had other options to play in Mozambique, where a number of players from Malawi military teams have been flocking, including Chikoti Chirwa and Richard Mbulu.
“He had a number of teams interested but he has settled for Kansanshi. The club has already sent him an employment agreement which will be a two-year contract,” said the source.
When asked how much Kamuzu Barracks will receive from Kansanshi, the source said the Malawi club will not receive any amount since the player is not resigning as a military officer.
“The Zambia club will get the player on loan. The player is not resigning from the military,” he said.
According to information seen by BolaNews, Nkhoma has agreed to a USD 2,000 salary deal.
Last season, Nkhoma scored 13 league goals in 26 games to finish third on the scorers’ chart. In the 2024 season, he scored 12 league goals and finished second.
