Lumwana Radiants assistant coach Allan Kamwanga states that despite the team’s dismal start to the 2024–25 season, avoiding relegation is still the team’s primary goal.

Lumwana picked up their second draw of the season after they drew 0-0 with league defending Champions Red Arrows in a rescheduled match played at Nkoloma Stadium on Thursday.

The Urianium boys have registered just one victory from six league matches played so far. The side has five points with only one win, two draws and three defeats.

Assistant Coach Allan Kamwanga told reporters after the match that the team will keep fighting to start winning games.

“We thank God for this performance because the boys played according to instructions. We told them to remain compact and keep their line.

“Last week we won 2-1 at home against (Indeni FC), we also were expecting to win at Nkoloma stadium, because everytime we play Arrows we get a positive result so we came here for a victory,”he said.

Kamwanga further added that the team needs to start scoring goals inorder to revive their hopes of surviving relegation.

“We need to work on our striking force so that they begin to score goals, because our main target is to survive relegation,” added the coach.

Lumwana Radiants will visit Forest Rangers on Sunday at Dolahill Stadium in a Week Seven League fixture.

Going into this home fixture, Forest picked up a 2-all draw against Kabwe Warriors in their Week Six away fixture in Kabwe.
