Power Dynamos won 0-1 away to Prison Leopards this afternoon, giving them a four-point lead at the top of the MTN Super League. They are now at the top of the league with 32 points.

A late goal from Joshua Mutale was all the Kitwe-based side needed to collect maximum points, maintain the top position in the league, and seal their qualification for the 2022/23 ABSA Cup, having missed out last season.

In Ndola, a 45th-minute strike from Moyela Libamba was all the Forest Rangers needed to beat the visiting Napsa Stars.

The victory saw the Ian Bakala-coached side move to second place on the log standings, four points behind Power Dynamos while defeat meant Napsa has now gone six games without a win.

Meanwhile, Zesco United, who had earlier in the day announced that they had rehired George Lwandamina as their head coach, suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nkana at Nkana Stadium as Harrison Chisala struck from the penalty spot to guarantee the home team totally escaped the relegation zone.

At Nkoloma Stadium, Green Eagles defeated the defending champions Red Arrows 0-1 to suffer their first home loss of the year. The game’s lone goal was scored by Amity Shamende in the 77th minute.

Elsewhere in the Zambian Super League, at Sunset Stadium, Zanaco labored to beat FC Muza 3-2 as the visiting team gave the Bankers a good run for their money.

F.C. Muza scored through Michael Mwanza and Bobo, while Zanaco scored through Souleymanou and Abraham Siankombo, who got a brace.

And Nkawzi F.C. returned to winning ways when they beat Lumwana Radiants 3-0 this afternoon. Bernard Kumwenda scored twice, in the 4th and 80th, while Justin Shonga got the other goal.

In Chingola, Nchanga Rangers beat Kansanshi Dynamos 2-1 Christian Saili scored a brace to help the Robert Tembo-coached side collect maximum points while Chambishi and Kabwe Warriors played to a goalless draw.

Green Buffaloes will host Buildcon at Edwin Imboeal Stadium on Sunday as the last match before the Super League goes on a break.
