Green Buffaloes attacking midfielder John Kosamu is set to return to his parent club ahead of the 2025/26 MTN Super League season, BolaNews has learnt.
The 23-year-old spent the previous campaign on a season-long loan at Zanaco FC, where he struggled for regular game time during what was a turbulent season for the Bankers.
Zanaco endured a disappointing campaign that led to the departure of head coach Wedson Nyirenda, with Numba Mumamba later stepping in to help the team avoid relegation.
Kosamu found opportunities limited under both Nyirenda and Mumamba and will not be extending his stay at Sunset Stadium.
Meanwhile, his parent club, Green Buffaloes, also had a mixed season. The Zambia Army-sponsored side parted ways with head coach Masauso Tembo, appointing seasoned tactician Aggrey Chiyangi as his replacement.
Kosamu will be eager to impress Chiyangi during pre-season as he looks to secure a place in the starting XI for the upcoming campaign.
