Uganda international Keziron Kizito has admitted that Kansanshi Dynamos’ attacking and midfield units have fallen short during the opening phase of the 2025/26 MTN Super League.

After 14 league matches, Kansanshi Dynamos have managed just one win, alongside eight draws and five defeats, leaving them with 11 points and anchored in the lower reaches of the table.

Speaking in an interview with the club’s media team, Kizito acknowledged the team’s struggles, particularly in converting chances, but rejected claims that the top flight proven too demanding for the club.

Kizito said. “We were already playing in the Super League before, and we even performed well against teams that were in the Super League, so that can’t be an excuse.”

The midfielder admitted that while performances have often been encouraging, a lack of efficiency in key moments has cost the team valuable points.

“The truth is that in the first round of the season, we didn’t do well. Our performances have been good, but the results haven’t come because of small details that are costing us,” he said.

Kizito placed particular responsibility on the attacking department, admitting that goals have been hard to come by.

“I haven’t done well” – Kizito.

“As strikers, we haven’t scored enough and that’s letting the team down, so we really need to improve on that,” he said. “If we score more and defend well, we can win games, and winning will give us more confidence.”

Looking ahead to the second round of the season, Kizito called for unity and renewed effort, stressing that survival and improvement depend on collective responsibility.

“Personally, I haven’t done as well as last season, but football is not about one player — it is a team,” he said. “If we work together as a unit, we will move this club forward and put it where it belongs.”
