NAPSA Stars head coach Sipho Mumbi is pleased with a point earned away from home after a goalless draw against Mighty Mufulira Wanderers at Shinde Stadium.
This is a positive reaction by NAPSA, who, in the season opener suffered a 2-nil defeat to Green Eagles at REIZ Arena last weekend.
Mumbi, described Shinde stadium as a hostile environment, and praised his players for their resilience.
“Very important away point. Taking a point away from a hostile stadium is not easy. I want to congratulate my boys for holding their own,” he said.
The match also saw NAPSA Stars hand a debut to Timothy Sichalwe, alongside the introduction of experienced midfielder Augustine Mulenga, both new arrivals this season.
The former Nkana assistant coach, welcomed the impact of the duo.
“They gave us another different energy going forward; it’s about gelling with Sichalwe. It’s the first time playing with his teammates,” he added.
Looking ahead, the coach admitted his side still needs to sharpen certain areas.

“We just have to go back and see where we did right and where we did wrong so that we can improve on it,” Mumbi said.
NAPSA Stars next face city rivals, Red Arrows in a Lusaka derby, this coming weekend.
“We are playing at home in Lusaka; we are making sure that we collect the maximum points,” he declared.
