Highlights
  • Kabwe Warriors' exco has questioned Lwandamina.
  • Fans are not sure Lwandamina will be in charge of the Warriors' Week 16 match tomorrow.

Social media has been flooded with rumors claiming that Kabwe Warriors head coach George Lwandamina is set to return to his former club Zesco United and take over as head.

However, in an interview with Zambia Daily Mail Newspaper, Kabwe Warriors Chairman Mutale Ng’andu stated that they “have also been seeing reports on social media of Lwandamina heading back to Zesco United.”

“We have asked Lwandamina to make his position clear on whether he is leaving the club following an outbreak of social media reports linking him with a return to his former club,” said the Chairman.

Meanwhile, some Warriors fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure, and that they no longer want Lwandamina at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium due to the team’s poor record so far this season.

Warriors have only won one match this season, drawn nine times, and lost five times, placing them second-bottom in the log standings with 15 games played.

In light of the controversy, it is unclear whether Lwandamina will be available for the Warriors’ Week 16 Super League match against Chambishi FC tomorrow.
