BolaNews understands that ZESCO United is set to part ways with three members of its current technical bench as part of an ongoing shake-up at the club.

Former ZESCO United goalkeeper Jacob Banda, who joined the technical team in 2022, is expected to step down from his role with the men’s senior side. Banda will instead join the ZESCO Ndola Girls team, where he will continue in a similar capacity as goalkeeping coach. He will be joined by club legend Winston Kalengo in the same department.

Meanwhile, Mwape Mwelwa is set for a move to the club’s U19 setup, where he will take on new coaching responsibilities.

“Yes, ZESCO is making changes to its technical bench, and those you have listed are unfortunately among them,” a source close to the club confirmed to BolaNews.

The Ndola giants, who finished second in the MTN Super League last season under interim coach Emmanuel Siwale, are expected to bolster their technical team ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Tenant Chilumba, who recently parted ways with Mufulira Wanderers, is believed to be the frontrunner to replace George Lwandamina, who left ZESCO at the start of the previous season.
