EXCLUSIVE: Mwachiaba Explains Why He Has Joined Mines United

Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba, who has been with Kabwe Warriors since 2018 has joined Mines United, on a two year deal.

Former Kabwe Warriors striker Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba is looking forward to helping newly promoted Zambian Premier League side, Mines United stage a strong performance in the 2025-26 season. 

Mines United secured promotion to the Elite League after finishing in the top four of the National League standings.

Mwachiaba, who has been with Warriors since 2018 has joined Mines United, on a two year deal.

Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Mwachiaba said his experience in top flight football will help boost the morale of young players in the team.

“I want to help the team, it’s a very youthful team and most players will be playing Premier League football for the very first time so I really want to help the young players and boost their confidence,” he said. 

Mines United will kick start their maiden super league campaign with a home fixture against Mufulira Wanderers.
