The majority of Zambian Super League teams have begun preparing for the 2025–2026 season, which will begin in August.

Ahead of the upcoming season, some clubs have hired new coaches, while others have fired existing ones.

With only a few weeks left before the season begins, Nkwazi Football Club will commence its pre-season training on Monday, 30th June, 2025.

Nkwazi were outstanding as they managed to finish in sixth place despite having experienced a slow start to the season.

Chiyangi, who joined Nkwazi last year on a two-year deal, did a tremendous job with the club, and this didn’t go unnoticed by other suitors.

However, Chiyangi would likely not be present.

The club has not released an official statement indicating whether or not the head coach has departed.

However, a source told Bolanews that the coach is negotiating a potential transfer to Green Buffaloes.

“Green Buffaloes approached the coach, and they have been negotiating in the past few days. They are likely to conclude the deal, and he will be expected to join the team soon,” said the source.

If signed by the Nyanta Boys, he will replace Masautso Tembo at Green Buffaloes.

In their first game of the 2025–26 Super League season, Nkwazi will play Green Buffaloes. In their second game, they will travel to Nkana.
