Fidelis Chungu does not fancy continuing on the Nkana technical bench when the club announces Mwenya Chipepo as their head coach.
Chungu, who drills the club’s academy, Young Nkana, was in charge of the team’s scoreless draw against Nchanga Rangers on Wednesday at Nkana Stadium.
Chipepo and his trusted assistant Christopher Katongo watched from the stands as the team struggled to break Rangers.
After the game, Chungu was less optimistic about forming part of Chipepo’s bench stating he has ‘responsibility’ with the junior team.
“How can I continue, I have responsibilities to look after the young ones. I just have to support is going happen in future which you know,” he responded when asked about the prospects of staying on at the main team.
Nkana is expected to make a Chipepo announcement soon.
The Kitwe side will travel tomorrow to neighbouring Mufulira to face the Mufulira Wanderers FC in week 9 of the MTN Super League.
