Zesco United have announced the acquisition of Chipolopolo stars Kelvin Kampamba and Kabaso Chongo as part of their major squad reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Kampamba returns to the Ndola giants after a brief stint with Libyan side Al-Madina SC, while defender Chongo joins from Kabwe Warriors. Both players have signed two-year contracts, adding much-needed experience and depth to the squad.
Zesco have also strengthened their attacking options with the signing of two Nigerian forwards. Alaekwe Chijioke, 27, arrives from Nigeria’s Akwa United, while 25-year-old Ifoni Pepo joins from Sur SC, a top-flight club in Oman. Both strikers have also penned two-year deals.
The new additions come as Zesco United look to reclaim domestic dominance and mount a serious campaign in continental competitions this season.
