Forest Rangers Football Club head coach Mwenya Chipepo hopes to collect three points against Power Dynamos in this afternoon’s Week 31 Super League match.
Aba Yellow must avoid defeat to the Ndola-based side to compete for the top two spots and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup, while Forest Rangers hope to finish in a respectable position.
Speaking to the club’s media, Chipepo said that it would not be an easy encounter.
“I would like to have good results, of course, though it’s not going to be easy,” he stated. “We are playing one of the biggest clubs in Zambia away from home. That’s my former team. What we want is to make sure that at least we pick up three points, though we’ll be playing away.”
He added, “We have planned so well, and I’m very happy with the response of the players during training, so I’m very hopeful that we’re going to have good results.”
The gaffer has disclosed that he will have a full complement in the squad.
“We know most of the teams were relaxed, but with the Forest Rangers, we made sure that at least we worked the whole week. No, we have no injuries,” he said.
Forest Rangers are currently in 9th place with 38 points from 30 matches, while Power Dynamos lie in 4th place with 48 points.
While Forest Rangers can potentially finish 6th in the league, the Kitwe side still stands a chance of ousting ZESCO United from second place.
