Chilumba Gets First Win At Mighty, Nkana Make It Three Wins In A Row

Napsa's victory over Zanaco, is almost a retirement match for Wedson Nyirenda, as the Bankers head coach.

Tenant Chilumba led Mufulira Wanderers to their first league victory since taking over as head coach, which was also their first victory in the last four games.

After a enduring a hard landing at Shinde Stadium, Chilumba, today managed to motivate his boys to silence Nchanga Rangers 2 nil.

The win has pushed up Wanderers out of the relegation zone to sit 14th on the log with 11 points.

At Sunset Stadium, Napsa Stars added more salt on the wounds of Zanaco, defeating the bankers by a goal to nil.

Napsa’s victory over Zanaco, is almost a retirement match for Wedson Nyirenda, as Zanaco head coach.

Napsa Stars are 9th on the table with 16 points, while Zanaco have dropped to 16th with 9 points. 

In Ndola, Mwenya Chipepo has guided Nkana to their third consecutive win since he took charge of the Red Army. The Kitwe side registered a 0-3 win over whipping boys Indeni FC. 

Idris Mbombo scored the opener for Nkana.

Kabwe Warriors defeated Atletico Lusaka 3-0 at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. The passing style of football enjoyed by Atletico Lusaka, did little to threaten the Numba Mumamba, drilled side in their backyard.

Currently in third position with 19 points, Warriors are wo points behind leaders Zesco United.

Zesco United will visit fourth-place Green Buffaloes (19 points) on Sunday at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.
