From 25 Super league matches, Konkola Blades are sitting in 9th on the Zambian Premier League table with 35 points.
Sharp Razor has won eight games, drawn eleven, and lost only six matches in the campaign.
Before the international break, Blades played out to a goalless draw against Green Buffaloes at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Sharp Razor head coach and former U-20 AfCON winning coach, Bestone Chambeshi believes his boys are looking forward to cementing their place in the Super League.
Speaking in an interview, Chambeshi expressed satisfaction with the team’s progression so far.
“We have to maintain the same tempo. I think the team now has jelled and is well organized; we just need to make sure in the coming games we do better. If you look at our previous games, we have not met small teams, but we faced strong teams such as Zanaco and Green Buffaloes, where we collected two points away from home, which is not bad for us,” he said.
“Even for us where we are, you know we have just come from Division One; we have more games to go. We just have to start collecting maximum points. The way the boys are playing, sometimes I do forget we have been in the Super League for some time, but then I realize we have come from a lower division, but the standard they have shown, I think this team deserves to play in the Super League,” added Chambeshi.
In a Week 22 fixture, Konkola Blades will host Nkwazi FC on Saturday in a rescheduled fixture at Konkola Stadium.
