Ahead of the 2026-27 season, Konkola Blades FC head coach Beston Chambeshi has given a timeline when the Chililambombwe-based side will start competing for trophies.
Sharp Razor finished the season in ninth position with 48 points.
Speaking in an interview, Chambeshi said he was delighted to lead the team to a single-digit finish after coming off a promotion from the National League.
“I can say I have done my best as far as the team is concerned. I had a plan; I said, ‘Let me go with the team in the National League,’ and we came back to the Super League,” he said.
“The players did their best; the supporters and the executive have been very supportive, which has been the driving force for us. The players deserve the praise.”
Chambeshi expressed confidence that the team is capable of competing for honors.
“God willing I stay, the team will soon be competing for trophies. Just see how they are playing; they have no pressure, and they have come in to fit in the system that we have put in place. Very soon, they will be able to win something,” he stated.
