Newly signed FC MUZA striker, Biston Banda says he wants to regain his old form after a lengthy injury layoff that kept him out of action while at Power Dynamos.
Banda made his FC MUZA debut on Saturday as the Mazabuka side succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Nkana Football Club at Nakambala Stadium.
He told BolaNews that he aims to improve his performance to help MUZA achieve their season goals.
The striker, who recently switched from Copperbelt, where he briefly played for Konkola Blades after leaving Power Dynamos, described the Elegant Dynamites as a young and ambitious team.
“I want to improve my performance and gain my form back. I was injured for a long time, and that was a setback for me, but I’m back now,” Banda said.
He adds that he decided to join MUZA because of the average ages of the players as well as their ambitions to achieve success.
“What drove me to join MUZA was because of what they have been doing—a great team full of youthful, energetic, and talented players. I have joined them because of the talent that they have,” he said.
Banda has set his sights on winning the Super League and the 2024 Absa Cup with Mathews Ndhlovu’s side.

“The team is capable of achieving anything, as they showed last season. Even this season, the team is doing well, but we will still need to work hard to achieve our season’s goals. I intend to put in all my effort to help the team achieve the targets for the season, which include winning the league, playing continental football, and winning the Absa Cup,” he concluded.
