Warriors have now gone five matches without a win in the Super League as they slipped from first place to seventh on the table.

In their last match, they suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Mutondo Stars.

Godfrey Binga admits that the club has not been doing well and that the players are concerned with the recent trajectory and are working hard to ensure they qualify for the ABSA Cup.

“The season has been just fine despite our recent form. We started on a good note with an objective that we are still working on and hoping for good results going forward.”

”Numba is working” – Binga

Binga revealed that head coach Numba Mumamba is working hard in the background to improve the performance of the team.

“The coach has been very vital to the team, especially in the past 5 weeks where we haven’t been doing well as a team. He has been advising and encouraging us,” he said.

Binga also hopes to get more playing time at the club as he continues to learn from experienced players such as Jimmy Ndhlovu, Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba, and Tapson Kaseba.

“We have very stiff competition on our team, especially in my position,” he stated. “Playing with very experienced players such as Tapson, Jimmy, and AKA gives me motivation to work extra hard each day so that I can earn a spot in the starting eleven.”

With a solitary strike thus far, Binga is eager to improve his tally should a chance be given to him.

“My target for the season was to at least score five and above in the first round to help the team qualify for the ABSA Cup,” he said.

“I’m hoping to score more in the second round, given a good number of opportunities and playing time.”

“The coach has been so patient and helpful to me. He has been advising on how to go about being the best in my position and how to improve daily,” concluded Binga.
