Despite losing 2-1 to Nkwazi FC, Atletico Lusaka’s head coach, Brian Kunsanama, has maintained that his team will continue playing according to their philosophy.
The Bad Boys recorded a second defeat in a row and are 12th in the standings with 25 points in 21 games.
They have conceded four goals in their last two matches, scoring one goal as they lost 2-0 at home to Zanaco FC before a 2-1 away defeat to Nkwazi on Sunday afternoon.
In a post-match reaction, Kunsanama said the team played well despite not winning the match. He added that the technical bench is not under pressure to change their passing and possession type of football for direct football, which most teams use in the league.
“I can say at the end of the day, football won today. We didn’t win the game, but there was good football. Both teams played well. I think we controlled 70% of this game. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the results,” Kunsanama said.
“The boys played well; that’s Atletico Lusaka for you. We will never change our philosophy regardless of what is happening on the pitch. We’ll keep playing the same principles, and the same principles are what Atletico Lusaka is all about. That’s what makes us special. So we keep doing what we’re doing.”

The gaffer also stated that he will now work on what needs to be corrected, especially in the final third.
“The next game we come back strong. We will try to control things that we can control, as in football, and hopefully, in the next game, we’ll get a result,” Kunsanama stated.
He added, “You can never score without possession. That’s one thing you should understand. We’ll never go to the direct football. If it works for our teams, let it be. We play football. That’s what we’re going to continue doing. We’ll never change.”
