Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that in as much as the Saudi pro-League cannot match European Football currently, it remains a big threat from now on.

According to Ancelotti, Arab teams are investing significant amounts of money and are expected to improve and potentially reach the same level as European leagues in the future.

“Football, like the rest of the world, is going global. Arab teams are investing a lot of money and they want to improve like the  (MLS). On a collective level, European Football is more competitive, but in the future everything could even be equal,” he said in Dallas during Real Madrid’s pre-season tour.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti said the club has now moved on from Benzema, Casemiro and Ronaldo.

“We have fantastic memories of Benzema and what he did here. I shall be forever grateful to him because he gave us the chance to win the champions League. Real Madrid continues and has continued without Cristiano, Bale or Casemiro,” he said.

Los Blancos are hoping to regain the La Liga title they lost to their rivals Barcelona last season. Currently, they are in the United States preparing for the upcoming season.
