ZESCO Ndola Girls successfully defended the Zambian Women’s Super League title, capping off their impressive campaign with an emphatic 4-1 win against Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles Queens on Saturday.
Under the stewardship of William Zulu, the Ndola-based side have eclipsed record-winners Green Buffaloes Women’s FC as the powerhouse of Zambian women’s football.
BolaNews outlines the statistics that defined ZESCO Ndola Girls’ successful title defence in 2025-26.
Goals Scored
107 – ZESCO Ndola Girls were the only side to amass over a century of goals in the Zambian women’s topflight, scoring a resounding 107 goals.
Total Points
88 – Unlike the previous campaign, where the Ndola giants were heads and shoulders above the rest, the 2025-26 Zambian Super League title race went down to the wire, with Zulu’s side recording 88 points, just five ahead of Green Buffaloes.
Wins
28 – Collecting maximum points in 28 of their 34 matches, ZESCO Ndola Girls were the ultimate winning machines in the just ended season.
Top Scorer
26 – No player scored as many goals as Zegalicous star Avell Chitundu in the Zambian women’s topflight. She secured the 2025-26 Zambian Women’s Super League Golden Boot after scoring 26 goals.
Goal Scorers
15 – Goals came from everywhere for ZESCO Ndola Girls with 15 different players getting on the scoresheets throughout the season.
Goals Conceded
14 – ZESCO Ndola Girls were the only side to let in less than 20 goals in the 2025-26 Zambian Women’s Super League, conceding just 14. With top class players like Pauline Zulu, Judith Soko, Marjorie Mulenga, Mable Bwalya and Esther Muchinga at the back, their defence was solid.
Winning Streak
9 – The Ndola side won nine consecutive matches between September and November 2025, a streak only bettered by Indeni Roses. Ironically, the two clubs ended each other’s streaks. No doubt that Manchester United fan would have already got a haircut had he been a Zegalicous supporter.
Biggest Win
8 – As if the four days weren’t enough, ZESCO Ndola Girls took their Easter celebrations to the pitch, feasting on Chipata Girls as they walloped them 8-0 in early April to record their biggest victory of the season.
Back-to-back Titles
2 – The Zulu-tutored side have become just the second team after Green Buffaloes to successfully retain a league title since the advent of the Super Division.
