Trident Queens FC head coach Nicholas Zulu has remained confident they can finish the 2025-26 Super women’s league in a decent position.

After 27 matches played so far, Trident FC is ninth on the log with 35 points.

The Northwestern-based side has managed 10 wins, draw 5 times, and lost 12 matches out of the 27 games played.

Trident Queens suffered a 1-0 defeat against the Green Buffaloes women’s team in their midweek rescheduled fixture, marking their 12th defeat of the season.

The Conquerors have been inconsistent since the beginning of the season and will be looking forward to maintaining stability in the upcoming games in their quest to close the league in a good position.

Zulu exclusively said he is happy with the team’s progression.

“The players have done well so far. I really thank them because they are working extra hard. Even in the training, you can see that they are giving all the 100 percent effort that they can give to the team. We need to be collecting maximum points in the coming games; as it stands now, we need points so that we maintain a good position on the table,” he said.

The Trident Queens boss believes their next match is a must-win game.

“It’s a must-win game; we need to win that game. The loss we suffered against Buffaloes has given us homework to go and reflect on the upcoming fixture so that we prepare adequately for our opponents,” he added.

Meanwhile, Trident Queens will face Nchanga Rangers Queens in their next Women’s Super League fixture over the weekend.
