Arthur Elias, Brazil women’s national team head coach is anticipating a physical tussle against Zambia at the FIFA Series matches.
The FIFA Series will run from 9-18 April, 2026.
Brazil will host Zambia, Canada and South Korea with matches set for the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá.
Elias explained that the group offers different dimensions of play from the three opponents.
Elias said facing Zambia will be a physical match that will help Brazil navigate compact opponents.
“The Korean team is quite competitive, and we have never played against them,” he said.
“The game against Zambia will be very physical and with quick transitions, and I think it’s great for training our ability to break into more compact teams; and against Canada, which is a high-level team, a former Olympic champion, and which Brazil has faced many times, I was happy to have this match again.”
The FIFA Series is promoted by FIFA supporting member federations in organizing international friendlies involving four national teams from different confederations in a single host country.
