Daniel Sibanda, the head coach of Red Arrows Women’s Football Club, remains hopeful about finishing in the top four even after the team suffered its tenth loss of the year.

Arrows lost to Green Eagles 1-0 on Wednesday of this week, and as a result, they are currently ninth on the log table with 37 points.

Sibanda’s lasses are only two points short of the top four, which is now held by ZISD Football Club after they defeated Kabwe Celtics Queens 4-1.

In an interview with Bola News, Sibanda noted that it has been a tough season for the club, which is in the process of rebuilding the team.

The former Red Arrows skipper, who is in his first season as head coach, is still hopeful that his team can catch up with the pacesetters at the top if they can remain consistent.

“Our target is to finish in the top 4, and probably if they mess up on top, we will catch up,” Sibanda said. “The season has been tough for us because we are building a new team.”

He explained that some players have not been consistent in implementing his style of play, which has led to the team’s dismal performance so far this season.

“Inconsistency has been the major challenge because the players have had to adopt a new philosophy, and most of these players had no game time in the past seasons,” he stated.
