Zambia U17 Women’s National team coach Carol Kanyemba is still optimistic about a better outcome against Morocco even if the team has encountered logistical difficulties.

The team held a loosening session at Le Grand village in Berkane for this Saturday’s 2024 U17 FIFA second leg qualifier.

Zambia junior women’s team carry a 3-1 lead from the first leg match played at National Heroes Stadium last Saturday.

When they play Morocco, the visitors will be eager to finish the job and qualify for the World Cup.

Kanyemba told FAZ media prior to the game, citing the ladies’ positive outlook and excitement for the contest.

“We are focused on the match” Kanyemba.

“We are focused on the mission that is at hand and the girls are not disturbed in anyway,” Kanyemba said.

However, the U17 boss believes the team is ready to break the poor away record.

“We have told our girls to forget about the three goals we had scored and look at it from the point that we were scored 1 goal by Morocco”

“Morocco will use home advantage, the 12th player which will be their support will be on their side, but as the record has been that we always lose away I have told the girls that we need to break that record and beat Morocco,” stated Kanyemba.
