Kansanshi Dynamos women’s side promotion to Women’s Super league has set a yardstick to all teams under Kansanshi management.

Kansanshi Dynamos, men side is four points above the relegation zone in the MTN Super League.

Speaking in an interview, club Secretary General Mweshi Mupeta said the achievement should be a motivation to all teams under their administration.

“This is one achievement that our men’s team, the academy, and the youth teams should look at,” he said. “There must be competition within the teams, and this is a good example of what hard work can achieve.”

Mupeta, described the Queens promotion as a proud moment for the entire club.

“We started as an academy, teaching young girls how to play. We moved through Division One and then into the National League in 2022. The project has matured, and this promotion has come at the right time,” Mupeta explained.

He noted that the women’s team project, which began in 2015 as an academy initiative, has steadily grown over the years.

Despite the success, he stressed that the focus now shifts to sustainability and gradual growth in the top tier.

“Sustainability is key. We want to compete in the Super League, learn, and grow into a team that can challenge the best,” he said.

Mupeta also reaffirmed the club’s commitment to supporting all its teams equally, adding that the platform created by the Queens should attract more young girls to the sport.

“To the ladies, we say the platform is here. Come and showcase your talent. This is just the beginning, and the hard work starts now,” he said.
