Head coach Sheryl Botes of the Uganda Under-17 women’s national team is hopeful about her side’s performance against Zambia on Sunday in their U17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match.
To reach this far, Zambia eliminated Tanzania and Uganda defeated Cameroon to schedule a date between the two sides aiming to qualify for the World Cup.
Before departing Kampala for Lusaka, the Teen Cranes practiced against the Misingi Soccer Academy U15 Boys.
Botes revealed that the match provided a valuable chance for her technical bench to fine-tune tactics and express themselves during the match.
“We’ve had a good run in our preparations, and I’m pleased with the commitment and progress shown by the players,” said Botes to FUFA Media, “
