First-placed Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club will welcome second-placed Green Eagles Women’s Football Club in a Zambian military derby on Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium.
Both teams are tied on 13 points, but Buffaloes lead the table with a superior goal difference.
Albert Mphande’s defence has been solid this season and is yet to concede.
In an exclusive interview with BolaNews, Eagles gaffer Albert Mphande urged his girls to prove their quality.
“They (Buffaloes) are an incredible team, they have quality players who play for the national team, our girls would equally want to prove that they are capable of representing the national team.
“We have to be solid at the back and play our game, we’re looking forward to this local derby. It’s not going to be an easy game but we have to plan for them in order to achieve our objectives.”
Buffaloes head coach Charles Haalubono, on the other hand, said: “Eagles are a team that are not allowing goals which means that they are very strong defensively and can also score.”
Haalubono further highlighted the importance of preparation in both defence and attack.
“We should be alert at every moment because they are a team that are looking very sharp this season, we must up our game when we play on Saturday.”
