Buffaloes aim to top their outstanding performance from the previous season, when they won the Cosafa Championship by defeating Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa on post-game penalties.

On the Cosafa radio show program, Green Buffaloes assistant coach Carol Kanyemba told the reporters that the squad had been well-prepared and was ready to defend its title.

“So far so good we are preparing well knowing that being defending Champions is not easy every team wants to beat the defending Champions, we know it’s not going to be an easy tournament for us, but we have tried our best to put everything in place,” she said.
