Lusaka-based Elite Ladies Football Club has received approaches from three Zambian Women’s Super League teams regarding the signing of Pauline Zulu and Comfort Selemani, two of its standout players.

The Copper Queens, who have qualified for both the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the Women’s Africa Cup (WAFCON), have found success with defender Pauline Zulu and midfielder Comfort Selemani as important components of the team.

The three clubs interested in acquiring the services of the duo are 2023-24 league champions, Green Buffaloes, Zanaco Ladies FC, and Zesco Ndola Girls.

Green Buffaloes are aiming to reinforce their squad ahead of the COSAFA-CAF Champions League competition set for South Africa. The army-sponsored side is also eyeing the signature of goalkeeper Chitete Munsaka.

By signing the talented duo, Zanaco hopes to compete against Zesco and Buffaloes in the forthcoming season.

The duo is key to Copper Queens Squad.

“Yesterday, we officially received a formal approach by Zesco Ndola Girls FC for the loan acquisition or outright purchase of Paulina Chisomo Sepiso Zulu and Comfort Selemani with immediate effect,” the club said in a post on Facebook”
