The Zambia Women’s National Team has dropped one place in the December FIFA World Rankings from 69 to 70.
Despite that, they have leapfrogged Ivory Coast, who dropped five places to occupy the sixth spot in Africa from seventh.
All African teams in the top ten except Mali have dropped in the latest rankings, with Cameroon dropping twelve places from 56 to 68.
South Africa is the second country with the highest drop in Africa’s top ten, from 45 to 52 in the world but remains second on the continent.
Meanwhile, reigning world champion Spain has moved to the top of the rankings, leapfrogging Sweden, who have dropped to fifth place in the world rankings.
The United States, France, and England round out the top five, ranking second, third, and fourth, respectively.
