Rex Chanda, a coach for Indeni Roses has criticized his players for failing to abandoning tactical instructions after surrendering a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw against Konkola Blades Queens in a Week Two ZPL Women’s Super Division Northern Zone match.
On Wednesday, Indeni raced into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 24 minutes, with Gift Mulenga scoring in the sixth minute before Noria Sosala doubled the advantage in the 24th minute.
However, Konkola Blades fought back, with Blessings Ngonga reducing the deficit in the 34th minute before Taonga Phiri completed the comeback with the equalizer in the 70th minute.
The result leaves the two sides jointed at the top of the log at four points after two matches of the new season.
Chanda said Indeni started strongly but lost their discipline after conceding before half-time.
“We were expecting to up our game, and that’s what we did in the first 20 minutes. We looked so stable and dictated play just like from the very beginning,” Chanda said.
“But towards the end, we slacked just after conceding that silly goal. So, 2-2 today. That’s the name of the game.”
The coach identified tactical indiscipline as the major weakness in his team’s performance, particularly in the midfield.
“Tactical indiscipline is what the players have, especially in the midfield,” he said.
“Not a good result” – Chanda.
Chanda explained that every player has a specific responsibility within the team’s tactical system and must execute the instructions given by the technical bench.
Chanda said the inability to maintain tactical discipline directly contributed to conceding twice.
“When you fail to do just a simple task that has been given to you by the coaches, then it becomes a problem.”

Chanda said the technical bench will prepare for the next assignment against Zesco Ndola Girls FC.
“It’s not a good result actually. We have to talk to the players. We have to train well; we have to train hard and also prepare them and make them ready for the game against the champions,” he said.
