Haaland broke yet another record in the world’s most prestigious club competition after surpassing Luis Suarez and Rivaldo when he scored his 28th in 22 Champions League matches overall in Manchester City’s emphatic victory against Copenhagen.

It’s almost as if defenders can’t seem to wrap their heads around the Norwegian who scored a first-half brace, if they were any doubts on Haaland prior to his move to City, perhaps it’s safe to say that his answered his critics resoundingly.

A moment of panic in Copenhagen’s box as David Khocholova’s own goal saw the visitors gift the hosts a three goals advantage before the break.

Haaland was withdrawn at half time but that didn’t stop the Citizens from grabbing more goals as Riyad Mahrez scored from a penalty kick while substitute Julian Alvarez scored his sides fourth as Pep Guardiola’s side made it three wins out of three in Europe this season.
